The NOAA/CMDL Aircraft Aerosol Measurement System is a modified version of the system
used at our Baseline Observatories and Regional Air Monitoring Station.
Pump bay - a compartment
in the floor of the P-3 where we place large pumps and motors
NOAA/CMDL aircraft instrument
system - photo #1 - shows heated sampling tube, flow splitter, 1-mm impactor, 3-l nephelometer, and
laptop control/data acquisition system on top of rack
NOAA/CMDL aircraft instrument
system - photo #2 - shows condensation particle counter, continuous light absorption
photometer, temperature/relative humidity/flow control modules, and a carousel impactor
for collection of up to eight filter aerosol samples per flight.
