CPD Live CD: Download the file "livecd-DATESTAMP.iso", burn it on to a CD-R(W). Reboot the target computer with this CD in the drive. If it does not boot into the Live CD, you may have to adjust BIOS settings (ensure that CD-ROM is listed before any hard disks in boot order). The target computer should have at least 128 megabytes of ram. You should connect some form of external USB storage device to the system, for data and configuration storage (e.g. a USB "pen drive"). This device must have a capacity of at least 32 megabytes. It will be split into two partitions, one for configuration information and one for data storage, the minimum size for either is 8 megabytes (which should be sufficient for a reasonable amount of configuration storage). Once the system has booted into the desktop environment, you should follow the direction in the readme (on the desktop), under the section "Override device setup". NOTE: If the graphical environment fails to boot, you can press CTRL-ALT-F12 at any time to view the readme in text mode. It contains some suggestions on getting XFree86 (the graphical system) to work.
