The highest frequency of data recorded, edited and archived by the NOAA/GMD
aerosol group for our in-situ, surface observations is 1 minute averages.  These
high frequency data are available upon request.  We have chosen not to include
the 1-min data alongside our standard, averaged (hourly, daily, monthly) data
products because of the complex hexadecimal flagging codes we use to describe
the data state in the 1-min data files.  These flags include information about
contamination, size cut and the various standard corrections made to the data.

These 1-min average data *are available* for use, we just want to have a
conversation with potential 1-min data users to make sure our flagging
convention is understood to ensure that the data are interpreted properly.
