Traditionally, our data files averaged the combined data from balloon ascent and descent. The traditional "LEV" data for water vapor are presented here as "H2Omr_orig". For many flights we now also report independent ascent and descent data averages for all variables except ozone ("O3mr", when available) which is measured on ascent only. There are 97 Boulder files lacking separate ascent and descent data (93 are before Feb 1991) that present only ascending values for "Level" and "Alt". Files with separate ascent and descent averages present ascending then descending "Level" and "Alt" values.
