HOTFIX INFORMATION

This hotfix includes the following updated files: Remark: This hotfix cannot be uninstalled, and replaces any previous cumulative hotfix.

NEW IN THIS VERSION

P1365-100022: Unable to use jarsigner with option protected

    ActivClient no more prevents display of PIN prompt dialog box if application is not Firefox or Thunderbird.

ADDITIONAL ISSUES

ActivID® ActivClient® 4.0 for Linux hotfixes are cumulative.

This hotfix includes the following updated files that were included in previous hotfixes:

P1365-100019: Need Support of Applets 2.7.3

    HID Applets 2.7.3 are now supported.

P1365-100009: PKCS#11: CKA_PUBLIC_EXPONENT value of Public Keys is incorrect

    CKA_PUBLIC_EXPONENT value of Public Keys is now properly formatted.

P1365-100003: Unable to decrypt email with Thunderbird

    ActivClient PKCS#11 has been updated to allow email decryption with Thunderbird.

    Remark:

    For a proper functioning of Thunderbird, it is necessary to create/modify a config.reg file in /opt/hidglobal/ac.ac4linux.pkcs11, and adding the following content:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HID Global\ActivClient\PKCS11]

    "isCKF_PROTECTED_AUTHENTICATION_PATHsupported"=dword:00000000

P1365-83450: gscBsiUtilAcquireContext returns BSI_UNKOWN_ERROR with card with SMA

    When card use SMA, gscBsiUtilAcquireContext returns BSI_UNKOWN_ERROR. This bug has been corrected.

P1365-83193: ActivClient crashes when parsing a certificate with a Subject Alternative Name containing a Directory Address

       The crash when parsing of certificates with a Subject Alternative Name containing a Directory Address has been corrected.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

The following describes how to install this ActivID® ActivClient® 4.0 for Linux Hot Fix.

  1. Remove the card from reader if any.
  2. Close all applications that may use the card (Firefox, Thunderbird...).
  3. Unzip hot-fix.
  4. Copy unzipped content of the file locally (in \tmp directory by example).
  5. Open a terminal in the same directory.
  6. If necessary, change executable rights of shell scripts (chmod +x *.sh).
  7. Choose the appropriate shell file depending of the platform and execute the shell file (in case of access denied, start shell script with sudo command):
